Hallo!

Meine Frau und ich sind ab 2.10. auf Sardinien und wollen dort erstmalig fliegen. Wir haben natürlich Paragliding365.com und die Suche hier bemüht. So richtig sind wir allerdings nicht weitergekommen. Wenn wir nichts übersehen haben, sind die Informationen entweder einige Jahre alt oder nicht besonders aussagekräftig.

Häufig wird Alghero erwähnt - auch in Olivers "Mittelmeer-Fluggebiete-Führer" - aber die Transfer-Frage - Landeplatz-Startplatz - ist angesichts von erwähnten 20 Km Strecke offen, wenn ich `mal unterstelle, nicht immer toplanden zu können.

Spiaggia di Scivu klingt gut, ich sehe aber erst in Arbus Unterkünfte.

Kurzum, wir suchen Tipps - Ort und Unterkunft ist noch offen. Fest steht nur, dass wir am 2.10. mit der Fähre ankommen und am 8.10., spät abends, wieder ablegen.

war Ende August für drei Wochen auf Sardinien und hatte den Schirm mit.

Prinzipiell kann man in Sardinien fast überall fliegen nur die Start und Landeplatzsuche gestaltet sich
schwierig und da ich mit Familien unterwegs war, war mir dies oft zu zeitaufwendig,

Ich habe in den drei Wochen nur einmal einen Flieger getroffen der auf mich zukam als ich geflogen bin.

Kurzum ich bin nur zweimal während der drei Wochen geflogen bei Alghero. Hier kann ich dir den Track schicken.
Starten und Landen easy.

Oberhalb Baunei direkt an der Strasse zur Kirche S.Pietro liegt auch schöner Startplatz
hatte dort aber wegen Familie keine Möglichkeit zu fliegen.

Zu Unterkünften kann ich Dir nichts sagen, da ich mit dem WoWa unterwegs war.

Hab´ Dank für Deine Antwort. Ich habe auch den Eindruck, dass es auf Sardinien viele Möglichkeiten gibt, mit dem Schirm in die Luft zu kommen. Und jetzt, da die Strände nicht mehr so voll sein dürften, hat man an der Küste vermutlich auch keine Schwierigkeiten zu landen.

Wir haben uns jetzt für ein Hotel in Guspini entschieden, mit der Option dort bei Gonnosfanadiga zu fliegen und in den dune di Piscinas zu spielen/soaren.

Die Seite http://www.vololiberosardegna.it kannte ich noch nicht, zeigt schön die Spots, scheint aber noch im Aufbau zu sein.

Ein bisschen hat uns auch Olli beeinflusst, der uns in einer E-Mail Giara und Cucurru Fennugu als "cool" empfohlen hat. Zumindest für Letzteren sind wir in Guspini geografisch gut aufgehoben.

Unter Berücksichtigung der Frequenz in Threads mit Erregungspotenzial hatte ich mir hier mehr Tipps oder Erfahrungsberichte versprochen. Andererseits erhält die Woche so einen zusätzlichen (Entdecker-)Reiz.

Hallo Rüdiger,
ich fliege am 09.10.10 für zwei Wochen nach Sardinien. Ich verbringe dort einen Tauchurlaub--mit der Option auch mal Fliegen zu gehen (ich habe den Tandem dabei).

Ich bin letztes Jahr bei Alghero geflogen, man kann bequem in einer halben Std vom Landeplatz zum Startplatz laufen (vorsicht große bissige Schildkröten!) der Pfad ist in Google Earth sichtbar.

Ich bin letztes Jahr bei Alghero geflogen, man kann bequem in einer halben Std vom Landeplatz zum Startplatz laufen (vorsicht große bissige Schildkröten!) der Pfad ist in Google Earth sichtbar.

Da ich vor meiner Fragestellung hier im Forum wie verrückt recherchiert habe, kannte ich den Artikel schon - aber hab´ Dank für den Hinweis. Vielleicht hätte uns eine frühere Information zum machbaren Fußweg bei der Alghero-Wahl bleiben lassen?

Jetzt haben wir uns entschieden, u. a. an den Dune di Piscinas mit dem Schirm zu spielen. Rein von der Topographie müsste da was gehen - bin gespannt.

Wir sind jetzt zwei Tage unterwegs gewesen und ich kann Flying_Harry nur bestätigen,

Wir waren am ersten Tag an der Costaverde unterwegs, bei Wind aus Ost. So ein bisschen hatte ich die Hoffnung , dass sich an der Küste der Wind vom Meer zeigen würde, wurde aber schnell eines Besseren belehrt. Aber auch bei Westwind hätte ich bei den Dune di Piscinas wegen des flachen Profils die Chancen auf Soaring gering geschätzt. Anders am Spiaggia di Scivu, die 15 m-Kante hat meines Erachtens Potenzial. Allerdings hatten Urlauber nach deren Auskunft dort in den letzten 14 Tagen keinen Schirm gesichtet.

Buggerru hat einen schönen großen Strandlandeplatz, aber den Start haben wir nicht dort gefunden, wo wir ihn nach den Beschreibungen vermutet hätten. Da der Wind ohnehin keinen Start zuließ, haben wir auch nicht weiter gesucht.

Bosa hat was, sowohl der Ort, als auch die Topographie um den als Landelatz dienenden Strand in Bosa die Marina und Porto Alabe. Das wollen wir uns näher ansehen, daher werden wir morgen die Zelte hier - in Guspini - abbrechen und in Marina die Bosa aufschlagen (drei Tage Hotel in Guspini zu verschenken). In der Planet Bar in Gonnosfanadiga, dem Treffpunkt der vielzitierten „Hauptstadt der Paraglider auf Sardinien", waren wir übrigens auch, getroffen habe wir leider keinen der Piloten. Vielleicht war Sonntag abend eine schlechte Zeit.

Alghero haben wir gestreift, für die verhältnismäßig große Stadt zu kurz, um überhaupt ein Urteil abgeben zu können.

Cirka 40 km weiter nördlich gibt es Argentiera, da soll man soaren können, in den Dünen spielen, sich hochziehen lassen können, die Gegend erinnere an die schottischen Highlands - habe ich alles im Netz gefunden. Ich will das nicht kommentieren, nur zwei Fotos von den "Dünen" einstellen - viel Spaß.

Kurzum, ich denke wir werden unseren Spaß in Bosa und Umgebung haben, bei Gelegenheit mehr.

The Flight: Thermal and thermodynamic flight, in absolute our preferred flight for the regularity of the conditions and its possibilities.La jara is a 10Km plateau , with a medium unevenness of approximately 200 Mt.We fly therefore with 15- 25 Kmh of wind from S, SE, SW, that allows us soaring to find the right thermal just for the long round-trip to Albajara. All the zone is cultivated to wheat. .A meeting point during week end.

How to get there. Once you arrived in Tuili follow the signs for the "Jara" plateau. Right beyond the village you cross a little bridge and on the same road you arrive to the top of the plateau.About 500Mt before the top where you find a parking is the Take off: place. It,s not big and allows only one Take off: a time.Please remember to park your car properly and leave space to coaches and cars.

Pauli Arbarei - CA
Take off: Orientation W-SW-NW, large Take off: area

The Flight: Used as practice field, there are two fliyng sites on 500Mt distance between one another, the first one has an esposition to w-SW wind , the second one has an espositio to W-NW wind. Easy flight for soaring along the hills and sometime you can catch the right thermal on the grain fields.

How to get there You can reach the first site driving along the road between Pauli Arbarei and Tuili.After 3 Km from the village you turn right on a country road, follow the road and you'll be there.For the second Take off: you follow the same road between the village, but turn right on country road after about 4 Km from the village.

Province of Nuoro:

Sadali - Flumendosa Lake - NU

The Flight: Recently discovered this beautifull place in the middle of the mountain is very easy to reach. Placed at the south side of Gennargentu where the mountains begin. In front of Take off: there is Flumendosa Lake (middle), dryed for most of the year that makes of it a huge Landing: field . At the back of it monte S.Vittoria 1200 Mt. At the back of this mountain is "barbagia" a semi desertic wild area of mountains with few roads and village around. All this makes the site fascinating and an uncomparable flight area, both for adventure lovers and safe flyers who love to have always a Landing: field below themi. Few flights made up now have seen big heights and distance around 30/50 Km up to Villagrande Strisaili direction N-NE.

Monte Ortobene - NU
Take off: Orientation S-SE, easy
Landing: Wide field below Take off:
Top to Bottom: 500 Mt
The Flight: Monte Ortobene is placed right out Nuoro outskirts,easy to reach from the town with a well paved road. Take off: is 10Mt down the road in the middle of the bushe, 200mt after the restaurant.A thermic flight to avoid whit strong meteo winds. Landing: is wide but become a little turbulent during summertime warmest hours .

Punta Corrasi - Oliena - NU

Landing:: Several fields next to the village

The Flight: Wounderfull flight over a calcareous mountain 10Km long, that goes NW from Oliena to the east coast of Sardinia and SW to the mountains of Orgosolo.To reach the Take off: place follow the sign from Oliena for Monte Maccione and the Hotel Enis that is right on the road to the Take off: only 2Km away from it.Here you can find a restaurant, pizzeria,camping and an organization for trekking and outdoor activities.

La Caletta - Siniscola - NU

Gavoi - NU

Urzulei - Nu

Landing: Field in the middle of the valley, well visible from top.

The Flight:. We have two Take off: places: Punta Orotecannas (1089), Monte Pisaneddu (1254). A pretty thermal flight very strong during warmest hours due to valley heatingt. Landing: is placed over a private field in the middle of the valley. A big plateau on top of the muontain will allows you an easy top Landing.

Province of Sassari:

La Siesta - Alghero - SS Site Perfomance
Take off: Orientation W-NW, easy
Landing: Beach o fields below Take off:
Top to Bottom: 400 Mt
The Flight: Wonderfull site in front of the "Speranza" beach on a 30 km falesia the goes from Alghero o Bosa.Its west orientation allows you to fly nearly every day soaring or for the ones who like adventure, thermalling during nice day straight to Bosa.
How to get there From Alghero, follows the signs to Villanova Monteleone or Discoteque "La Siesta". Few Km after the discoteque at the end of a straight road toward south and a sudden turn on the right you can see a wide clean field on the right hand side , park your car and follows the footpath on the field on your right for about 200 Mt.direction NW. Pass a rudimental gate, you should see a pole on top of Take off: area with a wind-sock on it.

Punta Palai - Bolotana - NU
Take off: Orientation SE, easy
Landing: Fields below Take off:, easy top-Landing
Top to Bottom: 800 Mt
The Flight: Very difficult to find the right conditions to fly over Punta Palai because of the sea-breeze that come from NW .If you get a chance to fly be prepare for long distance flight. Punta Palai is right in the middle of a 50 Km chain of mountain from 900 to 1200 meters of height. Difficult to reach, guide needed.
